WARNING: My Horrible Online Glasses Ordeal – Dishonest, Glitchy & Unprofessional! 🚨
This online shopping experience has been a truly terrible one, and I'm sharing it as a cautionary tale for others. This company is Dishonest, doesn't honor promos. It felt like they made it impossible to collect an offer when the site is full of glitches. Trying to get help was futile as there was No customer Service 24 hours, no agent. The whole process was utterly Unprofessional. I felt compelled to leave this review because when I finally reached someone, their proposed solution was infuriating: they told me to Return them (even though their correct style and prescription) to RETURN AND REORDER to get the bogo they messed up and admitted. A Simple solution? Credit back to my card used. Nah that's too easy. This pushed me to contact customer service directly to express my deep frustration.
Customer: I'm calling about order #[OrderNumber]. I had a BOGO promotion that never applied during checkout, and the site seemed full of glitches. Now I have glasses I like, but I missed the entire offer. CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the difficulty you experienced with the promotion and our website. Our system typically requires promotions to be applied at the time of purchase, and for a missed BOGO offer, the standard procedure is to return the current order and place a new one with the correct promotion. Customer: But I already have the glasses, they're the correct style and prescription! I shouldn't have to return perfectly good items and go through the hassle of reordering because your website or system failed. Why can't you just process a credit back to my card for the missed discount? CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I wish we could process a direct credit for this type of promotional issue. However, our system's only way to reapply a BOGO offer is by having the original order returned and then a new order created. I can certainly guide you through the return process and ensure the new order applies the BOGO correctly. Customer: That's an unacceptable solution when the mistake was on your end. I'm not doing all that extra work for a problem your company caused. There has to be a more customer-friendly way to fix this than making me jump through hoops.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
