Trapped in a Chatbot Nightmare: 8-Day Delays and Zero Human Support 😡
I'm writing this as a warning for anyone considering GlassesUSA. My recent shopping experience was beyond frustrating and something I hope no one else has to endure. I ordered a set of prescription glasses and was advised the order would ship in 3 business days. 8 business days later they still haven’t shipped and it’s impossible to reach a live person. Their virtual chat gives the option to speak to a live chat representative but then circles you back to virtual chat. To be completely inaccessible as it relates to a prescription is absurd. This infuriating process is what finally compelled me to write this review and attempt one last time to speak with an actual human being.
Customer: My order is five days late and I have spent hours trying to get past your automated chat bot. Can anyone actually help me?
CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the delay and the trouble you've had reaching us. Can I please get your order number to look into this immediately?
Customer: It's [Order Number]. Your site promises 3-day shipping, but it's been eight business days. I need my glasses. This level of service is unacceptable.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see your order now and I sincerely apologize. There was an unexpected delay in the lab. I have escalated your order for priority processing and will upgrade it to expedited shipping at no charge.
Customer: That should have happened days ago. Why do I have to fight this hard just to get an update on something I already paid for?
CS Rep: You are absolutely right to be upset. There's no excuse for the lack of communication. In addition to expediting the shipping, I am applying a 20% refund to your order for the trouble we have caused.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
